Effective date: October 24, 2026
Welcome. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out the rules for using lifestyle.physiqz.com, including its stories, chapters, newsletters and emails (together, the “Site”). In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of the Site, and “you” means anyone who visits or uses it. By using the Site you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the Site.
Section 13 explains how disputes are handled. It includes an agreement to resolve most disputes through individual arbitration rather than in court, and a waiver of class actions and jury trials. You can opt out of arbitration as described there.
1. Who can use the Site
The Site is meant for adults. By using it you confirm you are at least 18 years old, or the age of adulthood where you live if that is older. Some stories deal with mature subjects such as infidelity, family conflict, injury, abuse and sexual relationships.
2. What our stories are
Novels. The romance novels and other works presented as fiction are made up. Characters, names, businesses and events come from the writer’s imagination or are used in a fictional way, and any likeness to real people or events is coincidence.
Justice stories. Our first-person justice and payback stories are written for entertainment. They may be based on, inspired by, or adapted from real-life situations, but names, places and details are changed, combined or invented, and the stories should not be read as factual accounts of any real person or event. Nothing on the Site is a statement of fact about any identifiable person or organization.
Not advice. Nothing on the Site is legal, financial, medical, psychological or other professional advice. A story about a neighbor dispute or an HOA fine is not a guide to handling yours. Speak to a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here, and don’t take action against anyone because of a story you read on the Site.
3. Your permission to read
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission, which we may withdraw at any time, to read the Site for your own enjoyment and not for any commercial purpose. Reading is free. We may add to, change, pause or remove any story, chapter, newsletter or feature at any time, and we don’t promise that any story will be finished or stay online.
4. Things you agree not to do
When using the Site you will not, and won’t help anyone else to:
- copy, repost, sell, translate, record, adapt or otherwise distribute our stories or any part of them, beyond sharing a link to the page;
- collect content from the Site with bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated tools, other than search engines that follow our robots.txt file;
- use any of our content to build, train, test or prompt an artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or to create a dataset;
- remove credits, copyright notices or other notices from our content;
- show the Site inside another website’s frame, or pass off our stories as yours or someone else’s;
- interfere with the Site, its ads or its security, including by uploading malicious code, probing for weaknesses, or flooding it with traffic;
- pretend to be someone else, or falsely suggest that you are connected with us; or
- use the Site to break any law or to harm or harass anyone.
We may block or limit anyone’s access if we think they have broken these Terms.
5. Who owns the content
The stories, chapter text, titles, images, graphics, page design and the way all of it is selected and arranged belong to us or to the people who license them to us. They are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws in the United States and elsewhere. These Terms don’t give you ownership of anything on the Site, and we keep every right we don’t expressly give you here.
6. What you send us
“Submissions” means anything you send us, such as contact form messages, emails, comments, feedback and story ideas. You are responsible for your Submissions and confirm that you have the right to send them and that they don’t break any law or anyone else’s rights.
By sending a Submission you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive, permanent and irrevocable license, which we may pass on to others, to use, copy, edit, adapt, publish and display it in any form, for example to quote a reader’s reaction to a chapter, without paying or crediting you, unless the law says otherwise.
Story ideas and personal experiences. You are welcome to tell us about something that happened to you. If you do, you agree that:
- we are under no obligation to use it, reply to it, keep it confidential or pay for it;
- if we do use it, we may change it in any way, including names, places, events and the outcome, and you will not be identified unless you agree in writing;
- you will not include information that identifies other people, or private details about them, that you don’t have the right to share; and
- our writers create many stories on their own, so if a story on the Site resembles something you sent, that alone gives you no claim against us.
We may edit, refuse or remove any Submission at any time, for any reason.
7. Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe material on the Site infringes a copyright you own or control, send us a notice through our contact page that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the web address of the material on the Site;
- your name and contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
We will review notices and act as the law requires, which may include removing the material. Sending a notice you know to be false can make you liable for damages.
8. Ads, links and other companies
The Site shows ads, managed by Mediavine and its partners, and may link to or embed content from other websites. We don’t control those companies or sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices. An ad or a link is not our recommendation. Anything you arrange with an advertiser or another site is between you and them.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
WE PROVIDE THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. AS FAR AS THE LAW ALLOWS, WE MAKE NO PROMISES OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SITE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR FREE OF ERRORS OR HARMFUL CODE, OR THAT ANY STORY WILL BE COMPLETED.
10. Limits on our liability
AS FAR AS THE LAW ALLOWS, WE, OUR OWNERS, WRITERS, EDITORS, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SITE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE WARNED SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS CONNECTED WITH THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT BE MORE THAN THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR FIFTY US DOLLARS (US $50). THESE LIMITS APPLY WHATEVER THE LEGAL THEORY OF THE CLAIM.
Some places don’t allow some of these exclusions or limits. Where that is the case, they apply to you only as far as the law there permits.
11. Your responsibility to us
You agree to defend and compensate us, and our owners, writers, editors, contractors, licensors and agents, for any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your use of the Site, your Submissions, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law or anyone else’s rights. We may choose to handle the defense of any such claim ourselves, and if we do, you will cooperate with us.
12. Ending access
We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Site at any time, without notice and for any reason. Sections 2 and 4 through 16 continue to apply after your access ends.
13. Disputes
Contact us first. If you have a problem with the Site, tell us about it through our contact page before starting any legal claim, and give us 60 days to try to put it right.
Arbitration. If we can’t settle it that way, you and we agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or connected with the Site or these Terms by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, run by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator decides whether a dispute must go to arbitration. The Federal Arbitration Act applies to this section. Either of us may still take an individual claim to small claims court if it qualifies, and either of us may ask a court to stop the misuse or infringement of intellectual property.
No class actions or jury trials. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class action, collective action or other representative proceeding. An arbitrator may grant relief only to the individual who brought the claim. If this waiver can’t be enforced for a particular claim, that claim must be separated and decided in court, and the rest of this section still applies.
Opting out. You can opt out of arbitration by sending us a message through the contact page within 30 days after you first use the Site, with “Arbitration Opt-Out” in the subject and your name and email address in the message.
Deadline for claims. As far as the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arose, or it can’t be brought at all.
Consumers outside the US. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this section doesn’t take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts.
14. Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute connected with them or with the Site, are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the Site operator resides, without regard to rules about conflicts of law. Any claim that is not subject to arbitration must be brought in the state or federal courts serving that state, and you agree to their jurisdiction. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn’t apply.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. Changes apply from the moment they are posted, and using the Site after that means you accept them. A dispute is decided under the version in effect when it arose.
16. The rest of the fine print
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, that part will be enforced as far as possible and everything else stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these Terms to anyone else; we may transfer them freely. These Terms don’t make us partners, employer and employee, or agents of each other. Headings are only there to make the Terms easier to read.
17. Questions
If you have a question about these Terms, ask us through our contact page.
